Let me guess...

You wake up already exhausted. Before your feet even hit the floor, your mind is already running- thinking about everything that needs to get done, who needs what, what you forgot yesterday. You jump into you clothes, rouse the kids and wrangle them into a semi-form of readiness, grab their lunches, pour your travel mug of coffee, hustle everyone out the door and off to school on time (but barely, and with much yelling), and then you speed off to work with a heavy sense of guilt.

You handle the meetings, the emails, the expectations. And hey, at least you're winning at something!...maybe.

You look up and you're only 10 minutes late for pickup or dinner.

And then you come home… and your second shift begins.

And oh boy, dinner. Kids are whining, the food is slightly burnt because you were checking work emails, and moving laundry. You and your husband are too tired for any kind of meaningful conversation. Then the kids are hustled to bed, meltdowns ensue, yelling results, and how are you still arguing over whether they're tired or not at 9:30pm? By the time the house is quiet, it's 10pm and both you and your hubs are laying on the couch, doom scrolling instagram trying to find some kind of fun, and finding an endless stream of your friends' perfectly choreographed lives. 12am you're collapsing in bed, already dreading the repeat tomorrow.

Meanwhile:

  • you are the one who has to enforce the boundaries
  • you are the one everyone leans on
  • you are the one carrying the invisible mental load
  • you are the one trying not to snap when your own needs never seem to fit

Sometimes it feels like:

You are the “mean one” because you are the only one holding structure together.

And then comes the guilt.

The guilt for being tired.
The guilt for being irritated.
The guilt for not being more present.
The guilt for wanting quiet.
The guilt for wondering where you went.

You’ve gotten really good at saying,

“I’m fine.”

But you’re not fine.

This version of fine is costing you.

You are burning the candle at both ends

and inside?

You feel stretched thin. Constantly behind. Disconnected.

Some days you’re overwhelmed. Most days you’re numb and robotically going through the motions.

Most days… you just keep going.

You’ve been taught to hustle your way through everything

Push harder.
Do more.
Keep going.

Even in your faith, it can feel like more pressure—
read more, pray more, try harder.

You can’t keep up and your life looks like the jumbled heap of a compost pile, and it's cooking you.

You start to feel like you’re the problem. You SHOULD just sort it all out, you SHOULD just get a plan going. You SHOULD be able to make sense of all the thoughts circling around and keeping you awake at night. But you can't, and you feel trapped. Stuck in overwhelm.

But what if…

What if life stopped feeling like constant internal conflict?

What if:

You knew how to calm your nervous system before frustration took over.

You stopped swinging between over-functioning and exhaustion.

You created rhythms that actually fit your home, your energy, and your responsibilities.

You no longer lived in constant mom guilt because your inner life felt stronger.

You understood why certain patterns keep repeating—and how to interrupt them.

You felt emotionally steady enough that boundaries no longer made you feel harsh.

You could hold both tenderness and strength without feeling like you are failing at both.

This is what Sonshine Academy helps you build:

  • peace that holds in real life
  • rhythms that flex instead of collapse
  • emotional clarity
  • practical self-leadership
  • deeper connection with God in everyday moments
  • less guilt, less chaos, less internal noise

This is where everything changes

You don’t need another system. You don’t need more pressure.

You need to come back into alignment—

with God,
with your body,
with your rhythms,
with your identity.

You do not need more advice that works for three days.

You need a framework that works in real life.

Because when you’re rooted in the right things, and deeply supported, you don’t have to force change.

It happens naturally and easily.

Hi, I’m Aurie Riley.

I am an Engineer and Coach for exhausted working moms who are ready to wake up excited for their life and with the energy to live it! I help women who look capable on the outside but feel internally stretched thin learn how to build lives that are emotionally steady, spiritually grounded, and practically sustainable.

Because I was once in your shoes. I had a crazy amazing career, blissfully unaware that I was living a checkbox life everyone else had determined for me. When I became a mom it felt like everything about my world was yanked out from under me and my circuit boards fried.

I had to learn to release old identities, and birth new ones. I had to learn how to heal. How to refill the empty shell I was living in. How live from a place of real joy, instead of seated on the floor with a fake smile plastered on my face playing dollies feeling guilty for not loving every second.

The funny thing is, life never goes in a straight line, so once the lessons were learned, the job came back. But this time, it was different. This time my eyes were open. This time it was both-and. This time I had the rhythms and wisdom of Mother Nature and the Biblical Truth about my worth and value. This time, I'm doing it better, healthier, and from a place of love, joy, and empowerment.  My life feeds me. Not the other way around.

I want that for you too.

My work combines:

  • Biblical Truth
  • Real-world engineering design skills so you can design the life you want
  • Emotional tools that allow you to show up as your best self any day, any situation
  • Tools that support and hold your days, weeks, months and years.
  • Wisdom from natural science

Because most women do not need more pressure.

They need a way to understand why life feels so heavy—and how to build differently.

Because when we can heal ourselves, nurture ourselves, and expand our capacity, we set ripples in motion for our family.

"I feel like I was stuck on some kind of hampster wheel. While I thought I was trying different things, it wasn’t working. These tools have been, I thought it would just be like everything else. But I can see now how things have progressed over the last couple months. It’s the bridge between the knowing and the doing." - Megan G.

What is this doesn't work?

Because my framework is based on Biblical Truth, and the rhythms in nature, I've got all of time that has existed that says it works. This is not a quick fix. As with any new effort, it takes some initial pushes to start the ball rolling, but once it starts to move, momentum will build. It's physics.

I can't afford it.

Sis, you can't afford not to. I know it's scary to invest in yourself. I experienced paralyzing fear the first time I took the leap to invest in my own support. And it changed the trajectory of my life. I didn't know where the money was going to come from, but I knew I couldn't stay in the pit I was in. Something had to change and no one was coming to rescue me.

What makes you qualified to coach other women?

Tell me, who would you rather be your coach on the sidelines calling the plays? Someone who read a coaching book, or took a class about how to play the game? Or an alumni player?  Someone who's been in it? Because I've lived it. I've lived the pain, the chaos. I've lived the effort and the climb. I've lived the transformation, I've lived the iterations of next levels. On top of that, I have an in-depth knowledge of how the natural world we're a part of works, I literally got a degree in that. My daytime career is to reverse engineer goals and create plans and designs to reach them. I do it all day, every day and my programs succeed.

From Mentally cluttered, unsure & reactive to Clear, Confident, and Certain

I didn't know what to make of all the noise in my head and the feelings that came with it.

I was able to change my perception of this part of me from something that was not appreciated to a skill that I could hone and develop in larger ways than just one person at a time. I was pleased to be speaking candidly with another Christian woman. That we both approach our lives with a desire to follow God was infinitely helpful. I knew I could bare my soul and Aurie would understand where I was coming from, but more importantly, where I should be going. I never felt any judgement, just space to open my heart and hear myself speak things I had only been thinking. Aurie, you had a way of digging a little deeper. Now when something happens, I respond with intention instead of reacting. I finally feel aligned with who God created me to be.
