Sonshine Paperie Origin Story
Sonshine Paperie got its start during the early years of my first baby's life. I felt isolated and alone in motherhood and needed something to that connected me back to myself and to others. I started painting watercolor renditions of what was blooming in my garden and sending them with a beautiful note and addressed envelope to friends as a way to connect and make them smile. In this way, I found my own smile again. I found that the peace and centeredness restored through gardening, and getting my hands in the dirt and the joy of watching life and color come from it was extremely fulfilling, not only because it brought me closer to my human nature, but it brought me closer to the Creator. Only He can bring the miracle and joy of life from a tiny seed, and it's that which I try to convey on paper. Being in the sun was a daily reminder or the warmth of THE Son's love. I want others to feel that too. I soaked it in, and hope to pour out that warmth and sunshine onto the cards I create and the people who get them. He pulled me out of the darkness, when I felt lost in new motherhood and needed to re-invent myself, and though I've been made new, He reminded me of the childhood nickname my dad always called me. Sunshine. I found myself again, but only through Him. Welcome. To Sonshine Paperie.

Hi, I'm Aurie!
I'm a muralist and painter with over 6 years of running a joyful, health-focused paper-goods brand. My mission is to help women grow into their full potential through beautiful connections to their faith, health, nature, and people. I want to encourage their sustainable growth by creating art and products that integrate all parts of their being so their lives bloom with intentionality and purpose. I love the gardening adage "right plant, right place" and I approach my art through the lens of working the garden of our lives with the right tools whatever challenge you're facing.

Rent my artwork to put on your products! My favorite thing about this business is the relationships it creates with my clients. Each one is beautiful and unique. I believe my portfolio of illustrations, repeat patterns, and hand lettered original art, will help your brand bring something truly unique and encouraging to your clientele.
